What is Nursery?
Nursery is a platform that connects registered businesses (small and medium enterprises and manufacturers, startups, private companies, diagnostic labs) and organizations (academic institutions, research and government agencies, NGOs) that have scientific, manufacturing, diagnostic, or processing (including food processing) equipment to more customers, who are looking for those equipment to rent and use.
Nursery has tools that can help you manage your equipment and connect with customers. Specifically:
- Nursery will allow you to list your scientific, manufacturing, diagnostic, or processing equipment and services so they can be discovered by interested customers.
- Nursery will then allow you to receive and manage bookings from customers who want to use your equipment and services. For example, a customer might book to use your industrial oven for three hours. They will search for and find your equipment, then book and pay to use it for their booked duration. Most commonly, the customer will come to your business location to use the equipment, so you can monitor and guide them. You can request payment before they arrive, or a deposit with the balance paid later.
What kind of equipment or services can I list?
Scientific equipment
Laboratory equipment such as HPLC, analytical balances, UV spectrophotometers, microscopes, centrifuges, PCR equipment, and more. If you run analyses for customers, you can list that too.
Manufacturing equipment
Clean rooms, automatic bagging machines, pumping machines, mixers, grinders, and more.
Diagnostic equipment
Haematology analyzers, autoclave, incubators, and more.
Processing equipment
Including food processing such as garri processing machines, industrial ovens, embroidery machines, and more.

Where is the registration form?
For organizations and businesses, visit nursery.ng/register-organization. Make sure to enter your CAC or SMEDAN registration number if you are a business, startup, company, or NGO.
What if I don't have any equipment?
No problem, you can still register on Nursery, but as an individual account instead of an organizational one. Go to nursery.ng/signup to register. As an individual, you can search for and find the equipment and services you need from the businesses and organizations that have them.
What happens when I fill the Nursery form?
- If you supply all required information, we will create an account for you that allows you to list, receive, and manage bookings.
- Once the account is created, we will send the Admin you specify in the form instructions on how to set up and use your account.
Why are you asking for my business registration number (CAC or SMEDAN)?
We ask for your business registration number so that we can verify your business identity and confidently tell your customers who you are.
Will I get a certificate or funds after registering?
No. Nursery only provides you with the tools you need to list and broadcast the equipment and services you have, and then allows you to receive and manage bookings and payments from those who want to use them.
Is Nursery free?
Listing equipment, receiving and managing bookings and payments, and communicating with customers is always free.
Nursery also offers additional features to help you maximize the bookings you receive and manage your equipment — such as seeing how much money you make from a particular customer and how long they use your equipment. For the first 30 days after your Admin sets up your account, these features are free (Organization Basic tier). After that, a subscription is required for those added features. Listing, booking, payments, and customer communication remain free regardless.
